Lonich is a creative coffee brand developed by Oriental Coffee Ventures, Inc. with the concept of “designing coffee experiences”.

The name "Lonich," which means "leave our name in coffee history," was chosen to express our desire.

Ryosuke Maruyama, the CEO of Oriental Coffee Ventures, met his co-founder Tatsumi Niizato while working part-time at Starbucks while studying at Kwansei Gakuin University. While they were still students, they went to a coffee plantation in Indonesia and saw coffee production in the country of origin for the first time. After that, Niizato took a year off from university and worked as a live-in worker at a coffee plantation in Colombia.

After graduating from university, Maruyama joined the trading company Sojitz Corporation, where he was in charge of M&A business, and Niizato joined Key Coffee Co., Ltd., where he was in charge of roasting, and later moved to DCS Co., Ltd. as a green coffee bean importer. In November 2022, Maruyama founded Oriental Coffee Ventures Co., Ltd., and Maruyama is CEO and Niizato is COO.

On April 21, 2023, Oriental Coffee Ventures opened their first coffee studio, Lonich, on the 1st floor of the K Building at 1-7-4 Kuramae, Taito-ku, Tokyo.

2 Ethiopia-Chelchele-Kumudecha/Natural/Light cold brew and milk brew

The first menu is a 2 Ethiopia-Chelchele-Kumudecha/Natural/Light cold brew and a milk brew. The Ethiopia-Chelchele-Kumudecha/Natural is partially dried on the tree (tree-ripened), so it has a simple flavor with a hint of a nutty flavor and a strawberry-like flavor.

2 Ethiopia-Chelchele-Kumudecha/Natural/Light Hoji tea brew and dried fruit

The second item is a drink pairing of a 2 Ethiopia-Chelchele-Kumudecha/Natural/Light Hoji tea brew with peach extract and dried fruit. The peach flavor, which doesn't have much of a coffee taste, is the dominant flavor in this drink. The dried fruit is served with the fourth menu in mind.

19 Ethiopia-Chelchele-Kumudecha/Natural/Dark espresso mousse and frozen milk coffee dessert

The third menu is a coffee dessert made with espresso mousse and freeze-dried milk. Frozen reduced milk is topped with a mousse made from 8 Ethiopia-Chelchele-Kumudecha/Natural/Dark espresso and fresh cream, and served with coffee powder and beans. The flavor changes depending on how you take it in.

8 Ethiopia-ALO COFFEE PLC/UNDER SCREEN/Natural/Light

The fourth menu is a filter for 8 Ethiopia-ALO COFFEE PLC/UNDER SCREEN/Natural/Light. This is a filter that has been extracted at high temperatures using a LiLi dripper. It has a flavor like strawberries with a delicate sweetness.
