Café RANBAN

Café RANBAN is a home roasted coffee shop, located at Minami 3-jo Nishi 5-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo City, Hokkaido.

The owner is Kazuhiro Abe. Café RANBAN was one of the first home roasted coffee shops in Sapporo, opening in 1977.

Café RANBAN won the 8th Sapporo Cityscape Award in 1997. It was designed by Akihito Kon, who has designed many famous shops in Sapporo.

Café RANBAN handles rare and unusual coffees from around the world. New Caledonia IDA - MARC Élysée Blue and St. Helena Bourbon are very rare coffees that can be drunk in Japan at only a few places.

Menu

Coffee beans

The coffee is roasted from light to dark roasts using the same beans. The coffee is made by nel drip.

New Caledonia IDA - MARC Élysée Blue light roast

The cups are from Okura Toen. You can enjoy the refined coffee even more by neutralizing the taste of the coffee with soda water.

Queen of Amber

Queen of Amber is a variation on iced coffee, with cream on top.

Orange cake

The homemade cakes has a simple flavor that doesn't interfere with the taste of the coffee.
